The Scholarship Application Process

The Montessori School of Champaign Urbana (MSCU) offers a limited number of scholarships, based on need. To determine eligibility, parents are required to complete a Scholarship Application Form, which is available in the school office. In addition, parents must write a letter of request (not more than one page) explaining why a financial assistance is requested. All requests for information and applications are confidential and retained in a file separate from school records. The board of directors evaluates all applications, and awards are made regardless of gender, race, creed or ethnicity.
Please note that awarded funds are only tuition supplements for families who are in financial need. While we never cover 100% of tuition costs, we can cover a substantial amount, which varies depending on the family's documented financial need.
Scholarship amounts are evaluated and awarded on a semester basis. Application deadlines for the 2012-2013 school year are:

- Scholarships for support during fall 2012: Applications must be submitted to the MSCU office by 04/15/2012. Families will be directly informed by mail of the board's decision by 05/15/2012.
- Scholarships for support during spring 2012: Applications must be submitted to the MSCU office by 11/15/2012. Families will be directly informed by mail of the board's decision by 12/15/2012.
- Scholarships for support during summer 2012: Applications must be submitted to the MSCU office by 04/15/2013. Families will be directly informed by mail of the board's decision by 05/15/2013.
